We do not charge for equipment usage so are happy to provide equipment if you do not have or do not want to bring your own. We use budget style rental BCDs, regulators etc. and adhere to the "small bubbles, no troubles" motto. Also we use open heel fins (a small selection of full foot & booties), 3mm short wetsuits so if you feel the cold you may prefer to bring your own.
Reservations for dive packages will require a deposit payment of $10 per person per dive, payable on your first day of diving. This is non refundable (except in the case of dive cancellation by Dolphin Dive for weather or other reason), deposits are only valid for the dive times made upon reservation and are not transferable to other dive times or days. Please bear in mind when making reservations that weather conditions will affect dive conditions and may limit visibility and choice of dive sites. Refunds will not be given for low visibility or repeated dive sites, or for sickness (whether self induced or otherwise). We recommend you carry adequate insurance to cover you for such eventualities.
We offer a special rate of only $25 per dive for dive professionals (Divemasters and Instructors) upon showing your pro-level card.
Please contact us for group rates (6 or more divers). Group bookings will require a 50% deposit at the time of booking (email us for full terms and conditions).. Discounts will vary according to season.

COURSES START AT 8.30AM SO YOU NEED TO ARRIVE THE DAY BEFORE STARTING. YOU ALSO NEED TO ALLOW A MINIMUM OF 18 HOURS AFTER DIVING BEFORE FLYING - Please e-mail us if you require more detailed schedules for your particular course
Before undertaking a PADI diving course, or refresher, with us you must read and understand the PADI Medical Statementand seek the advice of a doctor in case of doubt. In any case if you answer YES to any of these questions then you must get written permission to dive from a doctor, using the attached form, before coming to the island. Click above to link through to a copy of this statement.
The PADI e-Learning system allows you to complete all the theory and tests on-line before you get here. This means that when you come to the island you save approx. 3/4 day of time on the course.
This option is more expensive though than doing the full course here as PADI charge you direct for e-Learning and this varies by course, but for Open Water it costs $179. During the registration process you nominate a PADI dive shop, which then receives a rebate of part of the fee you have paid. If you register using the buttons on this page then you will be affiliated with Dolphin Dive and we then charge you only $235 to complete the inwater sections of the course with us.
If you're planning to do the course over the busy holiday periods please check availability in advance before signing up with PADI, to avoid any potential disappointment.
Total price for Open Water (e-learning option) = $179 paid to PADI, plus $235 to Dolphin Dive = $414 (2-3 days)
Total price for full Open Water course (incl theory) done on the island with Dolphin Dive = $330 (3-4 days)
Course duration will depend on student comfort level, class size, weather conditions etc.

Note : all certified divers will be asked for proof of certification prior to diving. For PADI certified divers this can be checked online if original card has been lost/mislaid. Anyone wishing to undertake a PADI dive experience or course is also required to complete a PADI Medical Statement to ensure fitness of health prior to diving. If you answer YES to any of the questions then you need to get written permission to dive from a doctor, using this attached form, and before coming to the island.
* INSURANCE - we are located in a remote location with very limited access to medical facilities. There is usually no doctor on the island, just a nurse. Big Corn has a basic hospital facility but medical emergencies will require boat evacuation to Bluefields or Managua. Dive emergencies will require evacuation to the re-compression chamber in Puerto Cabezas in the north of the country, a boat trip of 6-8 hours. We recommend that divers carry adequate travel insurance and have confirmation from their insurance company that the cover extends to Little Corn Island, and that the provider is able to arrange treatment, transport etc as recommended by medical staff. We require all divers over 50 to provide insurance details before diving.
Payment is preferred in cash (cordobas or US$) or by credit/debit card (subject to a 5% charge imposed by the bank).
