PADI Medical Statement
Start Time
Courses start at 8am, so you need to arrive the day before beginning the course. You also need to allowa minimum of 18 hours after diving before flying. Please contact us if you require more detailed schedules for your particular course
The PADI e-Learning system allows you to complete all the theory and tests on-line before you get here. This means that when you come to the island you save approx. 3/4 day of time on the course, although the course duration is still 3 days, it won’t be full days every day
This option is more expensive though than doing the full course here as PADI charge you direct for e-Learning and this varies by course, but for Open Water it costs $230. During the registration process you nominate a PADI dive shop, which then receives a rebate of part of the fee you have paid. If you register using the buttons on this page then you will be affiliated with Dolphin Dive and we then charge you only $220 to complete the inwater sections of the course with us.
If you’re planning to do the course over the busy holiday periods please check availability in advance before signing up with PADI, to avoid any potential disappointment.
Total price for Open Water
- e-learning: $230 to PADI, $220 to Dolphin Dive = $450 (3 days, part days)
- full class @dolphin Dive = $360 (3 full days)
Course duration will depend on student comfort level, class size, weather conditions etc.
Note that payment made when signing up for e-learning is made direct to PADI Americas, and not to Dolphin Dive. PADI do not offer refunds or transfers of credit to other dive centres. E-learning credit is valid for up to one year towards the Open Water training and the theory credit can be used at any dive centre.
Please visit the padi e-learning page for more information.
